City Council

Elected  city council members may choose to opt out of giving out their personal information to the public. While they do not have city email addresses, the public may email or call city hall and leave a message for any council member.

To ensure authenticity of emails from City of Simonton Mayor and staff,  please ensure that they are coming from a .GOV (dot-gov) account.   The City of Simonton only utilizes emails with official .GOV indicators.

Meeting Times
The Simonton City Council reserves the first and third monday of the month for Council Meetings, but usually the Regular City Council Meeting is on the third Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Simonton City Hall. Citizen attendance is encouraged and welcomed. City Council meeting Agendas are officially posted at City Hall no later than 72 hours prior to the meetings.

Meeting Minutes are an Official Record of a meeting. As such, they must be “approved” by the City Council. For this reason, meeting minutes are made available only after they are approved by the City Council at a subsequent City Council Meeting. Generally, the Meeting Minutes are posted on this page at a minimum of 30 days from the time a meeting is held to the time the minutes are approved by City Council and made available to the public.
